EMMA – the European Music Managers Alliance – is proud to add its name to a statement co-signed by 108 organisations, ahead of the EU-US summit, calling for improved mobility conditions for artists between the EU and US.  This is a critical component of the strategy for recovery from the Covid19 crisis which has hit the creative industries so hard.  A concerted effort to ease the obstacles that artists face when travelling between the two continents, notably with regards to the processing of visas and work permits, must be addressed if the cultural sector is to start a meaningful recovery.  EMMA calls on the EU and US to show political leadership and address this essential issue.
